The Smart Girls Club is a reading club for girls 12 to 15 years of age. The goal is to learn to think independently and apply lessons learned from the characters in the books we read in daily life.

Additionally, each meeting will feature a speaker who is accomplished in some way and is prominent in the community. The purpose of these speakers is to show how some members of the community found the path to success and encourage the girls to set and reach goals.

Smart Girls is a 100% voluntary effort. No one is paid for their time, materials or other contributions. It is a way for adults who have been given opportunities and a hand-up to reach out and help others. This is a great example for the youth we are trying to encourage.

Smart Girls teaches personal responsibility. By learning to think clearly, girls are given the tools to make their own decisions and shape their outcome. Victimhood is the crutch which holds back many in our society. We strive to empower these girls and give them a path to self fulfillment and leadership roles for their future.
